Andreas Michael

Andreas is the Business, Communications and Personal Development Lead at The Futures Trust, where he leads on marketing and communications strategy, business and enterprise relationship management, and personal development opportunities that benefit students across our primary and secondary schools.

Andreas graduated with a First-Class degree from the University of Manchester in 2012 and went on to complete his PGCE with Teach First, training and working as an English and Drama teacher at Sidney Stringer Academy, Coventry. He transitioned from teaching in 2015 to management roles within the Higher Education sector, where he spent four years leading Outreach initiatives supporting disadvantaged students from across the country to progress to competitive university courses. These roles provided extensive experience of managing large-scale projects, often involving hundreds of students at a time, including week-long university residentials. He left his role as Outreach Manager at Aston University in 2018 to lead the Careers strategy at Barr's Hill School and The Futures Trust.

For the past six years, Andreas has played an integral role within Barr's Hill School's Senior Leadership team, helping design and implement a unique personal development curriculum that delivers outstanding outcomes and destinations for their students. During this time, he has also served as The Futures Trust's Careers Lead, supporting Senior Leaders across our schools with the development and embedding of their own careers and personal development programs.
