Chief Strategy Officer
Victoria Hastie is the Chief Strategy Officer at The Futures Trust, leading the Trust’s strategic planning, People Strategy, and operational HR functions. Her role spans organisational development, major projects, Trust growth, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that strategy, culture, and operational delivery work in harmony to support the Trust’s mission of Building Brighter Futures.
Victoria has worked in public sector organisations since 2005, including multi‑academy trusts and local government, following earlier roles in manufacturing and telecommunications. With a background in Psychology (BSc), she brings a people‑centred, values‑driven approach to leadership, grounded in integrity, equity, and a strong moral purpose.
At The Futures Trust, Victoria has transformed HR services to strengthen workforce development and align people practices with the Trust’s vision and values. She has led complex organisational change, overseen major operational and community projects, and played a central role in the Trust’s COVID‑19 response. Victoria also leads due diligence and onboarding for new schools, supporting sustainable growth and ensuring a consistent, high‑quality experience for colleagues and students.
Victoria is committed to fostering cultures of trust, transparency, and professional growth. She brings governance experience from schools across the Midlands and is passionate about creating the conditions in which students, colleagues, and communities can thrive.
